Be Redundant
Send hand written mail to at least ten people on your mailing list.
Send career updates.
Ask to have a show in one of your buyers home, yard, porch, etc.
Get a news story by calling, speak to a real person.
Copy and mail your news story to your art people.
Do this often in the year.

Art Career Maintenace
To have a long art career history, one has to do the business part well.
Sending career updates to people reminds them that the artist is active.
Often sales result. I am proof of that fact.
A first class stamp is a very valuable tool for art career maintenance.

Self Promotion Matters
Real artists understand self promotion matters.
Art dealers for working class artists don't have the time to PR
for the large number of artists in their galleries.
Working class, blue collar artists need to constantly, do out reach to stay in touch
with their art people. I do it by handwritten illustrated mail.
The personal touch works. Never be stuck on digital means.
Self promotion works. It has to be the personal responsibility
of the artist.
